Wednesday June 4th. A local  Red Hat group Held a make and take class. Each of the ladies, were able to select an essential oil blend, and a floral additive to make a 4 ounce bar of melt and pour soap.

Choosing between: Rosewood w/ rose petal/  pink
Lemongrass blend w/Dried lemongrass / yellow
RosemarySpearmint Blend w/ rosemary or spearmint leaf / green
                            Sweet Orange w/calendula flower/orange

All the bars were fragrant and beautiful.

There second project was a simple body lotion that could be jared or bottles: (Recipe below)
this made from scratch lotion was thick rich and not to oily with fragrances to match their soaps.
I would have some pictures but some how deleted them..UUUGGG

Basic Lotion:

Distilled water 16 ounces

Emulsifying wax 2 ounces

Fragrance

Germaben Plus .125 ounce

Mix the Emulsitying Wax, Oil and Glycerin together and heat until the wax is just barely melted.

Allow to cool to about 110 degrees. F.

Stir in room-temperature water and Essential Oils. Beat with a stick blender for 3 /30 seconds

These ladies are always having fun, I think when I grow up I will find a group to join.
